He’s almost a big brother

Maternity BW (6 of 10)

I’ve been wanting to do a really cool shoot with Stacy and Slaiden for a while now and this week we finally found the perfect time to do it! We went over to Veterans Park in Redondo Beach and took a couple of quick shots. We forgot to bring quarters for the parking meter so we literally had like 15 minutes to get the shots done. I had all kinds of things in mind for the pictures, so I knew it wouldn’t be a problem to do the shoot in little time.  Continue reading

Sailing in Redondo Beach

Sail (31 of 31)

Paul’s dutch cousins are in town for a whole month and that means that there are/were lots of really fun activities planned. They went to Vegas for Halloween, the Grand Canyon, Sacramento, Seattle (to watch the Seahawks play) and so on. They also did a lot of things in our little beach town here. They went biking, are planning a fish trip and they went sailing. After they spent the afternoon on the water, Stacy, Slaiden and I went over to the marina and got on the boat to take a little tour on the water. It was amazing! Continue reading

The first pumpkin patch of the year

Pumpkin patch (9 of 17)

This weekend, I drove by a pumpkin patch on my way to a health event and as it was not that far from my house (about a half an hour walk) I decided to take Slaiden the next day. We walked all the way up to the pumpkin patch and he absolutely loved it. He still doesn’t really know what a pumpkin is though. He was yelling ‘ball’ the whole time and trying to kick it. The owners’ little girl was helping us out and showing us all the different sizes of the pumpkins and even though she was probably only 6 years old, she did a great job and Slaiden loved hanging out with her! They were interacting so well! Running together, playing hide and seek… They did it all. Continue reading

Meet Mister Grumpy

Grumpy (1 of 5)

Slaiden is the happiest little guy I know. He usually always has a smile on his face, except for those times when he wakes up before 7. Then he’s very grumpy the whole day long. On days like those I know that it’s going to be hard to take him to the park or any other place out of the house because I know that he’s tired and whatever I’ll do with him, won’t make him any happier. He usually is very sneaky on days like that too. Before you know it, he’ll be dancing on a table, looking for your reaction. Or he will go ring the door bell a couple of times, because he knows that dog will bark very loud. Continue reading

4th of July Block Party

BP-95

Living in another country brings lots of new experiences. Experiences that we often know from the movies we saw or the books we read. The Fourth of July or Independence Day is a national holiday in the United States on which the americans think back of the day on which they were declared independent from Great Britain, in 1776. On this special holiday people rise up their American flags, wear clothes with the patterns of the flag, watch fireworks and spend time with friends and family. Continue reading

InstaApril

InstaApril

It’s almost June, but I didn’t share my most popular Insta posts of April yet. April was an amazing month. Not only did I meet my favorite fashion blogger Julie Sariñana, aka Sincerely Jules, but I also ran a warrior dash, spent a lot of time at the beach, scored an Armani outfit and hiked in Topanga State Park. Talk about an active month. 😉 Continue reading

Sea lions in Redondo Beach

DSC_3806kopie

My friend, Stacy, is training for a triathlon and since she was going to swim in the ocean this morning I decided to go with her to the beach and keep an eye out for her. It has been really cloudy for the last couple of days, but luckily the beach wasn’t wilder than usual. Even though I live in Redondo Beach, I barely ever go down to the beach in Redondo. It’s a little further than walking to Hermosa Beach, and since my leg isn’t fully recovered after the marathon yet, I haven’t been feeling like doing crazy long walks. Anyway, I went this morning and I saw a sea lion and a dolphin. The dolphin was jumping out of the water 2 meters of where Stacy was swimming which was so cool and the sea lions were almost walking on the beach. Such a bummer that I didn’t get out my camera on time. Isn’t the beauty of nature the absolute best way to start your day? Continue reading
