Sequoia National Park

About 2 weeks before Strider was born, I was on my winter break and decided to take little trip to Yosemite and Sequoia. I had been wanting to see those national parks for a while now, but I never seemed to find the time. I planned the trip very last minute, rented a car 2 days before I left and I must say, it was one of the coolest trips I’ve made to date.

I always thought I was a real city girl, but I love to be in nature more than anything.

I hadn’t driven a car for 6 months, but loved every minute of my 5 hour drive. I listened to music, took in beautiful views and made a couple of stops on the way. I was amazed by the many orange farms that I saw along the way. I love oranges and didn’t know they were such a common grown fruit in California.

When I arrived in Sequoia I already knew that it had been snowing up there for a couple of days, and I was a little stressed about having to put chains on my tires. I ended up just going up to the highest point where you were allowed to have no chains on the car, parked there and hung out for a while. It was so cold there, but I loved that little break from the sun.

What do you prefer? Sun or snow?
