The first pumpkin patch of the year

Pumpkin patch (9 of 17)

This weekend, I drove by a pumpkin patch on my way to a health event and as it was not that far from my house (about a half an hour walk) I decided to take Slaiden the next day. We walked all the way up to the pumpkin patch and he absolutely loved it. He still doesn’t really know what a pumpkin is though. He was yelling ‘ball’ the whole time and trying to kick it. The owners’ little girl was helping us out and showing us all the different sizes of the pumpkins and even though she was probably only 6 years old, she did a great job and Slaiden loved hanging out with her! They were interacting so well! Running together, playing hide and seek… They did it all.

At one point she wanted to show him one of those scary vampire like figures who start moving every once in a while. Slaiden was following her, as he tend to do with all the girls who are older than him, and then suddenly he started running back to me as the vampire’s eyes were lighting up and he started moving! SCARYYYY!

The light on the patch wasn’t ideal to take pictures, but I managed to take some that were pretty cute. Excuse me for the reddish tint of the pictures!πŸ˜‰

Have you visited your first pumpkin patch of the year already?

Years ago when my daughter was three she went on her first pumpkin cart music ride, she absolutely loved it as well as bringing a mini one home lol

We can’t wait for our local farmers market to introduce once again this years pumpkin patch! Especially down here in Florida. Our ‘fall’ tends to be a little different lol It’s always exciting seeing little ones run around through all the Orange! Slaiden looks very interested!

Yeah, I’m from Belgium and there we have a real fall. Now that I’m living in SoCal it’s way different. It’s fall and it’s over 90 degrees outside. Oh well, visiting the pumpkin patch is still fun even though we are wearing flip flops instead of uggs on this side of the US!πŸ˜‰

I love the taste of pumpkins, but going there is not really a matter to how it tastes! I just really like to look at all the different shapes, sizes and colors and they are the perfect place for pictures!πŸ˜‰
