I won’t call myself a good cook, but I make the best breakfasts. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I don’t only want to start the day with a breakfast that tastes good, I also want it to look good! I’m always pretty proud on my breakfast bowl creations and I like to share them on my social media too. I think it’s fun to always try to add different ingredients on regular oatmeal so I wanted to share with you which toppings I used for this bowl.
First of all I prepared my oatmeal. I usually make about 65 to 75 grams of oatmeal. The recommended quantity is 40 grams but as I often work out in the morning I need my breakfast to be bigger than this. It’s the one meal that is supposed to give me enough energy to get throughout the day and it’s so delicious and pretty healthy that I wouldn’t want to eat a smaller portion of it. I always put a little stevia in the oatmeal to make it taste a little sweeter and I alway top is with Coconut Secret Coconut Crystals, which is a raw, organic, gluten-free & vegan alternative for brown sugar. I also always either mix in some Muma Seeds or I top the banana slices with it.
My toppings from left to right are
2. NavitasNaturals Cacao Nibs (This is a healthier version of chocolate chips and is a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. (+they are pretty cheap for the amazing taste))
3. Bob’s Red Mill Golden Flaxseeds (Good source of Omega-3 fatty acids and fiber)
5. NavitasNaturals Chia Seeds (Good source of Omega-3 fatty acids, protein and fiber)
6. Shredded coconut
7. Bob’s Red Mill Honey Almond Granola
