Welcome in cupcake heaven

A couple of months ago, Stacy brought some cupcakes home. The red velvet ones. I had never tried this taste before but I instantly loved it! They also had the best frosting on top and inside! So delicious! The weeks after she kept bringing me a cupcake every once in a while and I got so curious to see this little shop where she got them!

Last week we finally went to Susie Cakes in Manhattan Beach and I loved it! They had various types of cakes, cookies and cupcakes and everything looked delicious and really really pretty!Β

When I went home I bought 4 cupcakes for on the plane! I ended up eating 2 of them and I shared the 2 other ones with my family! My favorite ones they have are the red velvet one, the vanilla cupcake and the coconut one!

What do you think of this little shop? Isn’t it adorable? I loved all the pastel colors! What’s your favorite cupcake taste? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo
Julie

Not a fan of cup-cakes but they make interesting images to photograph. Some of the artwork is so good, who would want to eat these creations.
Great shots through the glass cases.

I love photographing them because of all the different colors! But above all I love to eat them! Cupcakes are my favorite sweet treats! Thank you for your sweet words!

Julie, your photos are super! And this shop, how I would LOVE to dive in and not come up for a L O N G time. Everything is so pretty and perfect. There is nothing like this around where I live. My mouth is drooling….

What are red velvets? I have no idea. My favorite……anything with real butter in it and chocolate. LOL I like vanilla with vanilla icing. Chocolate with butter rum and vanilla. I haven’t been into baking for a L O N G time, but I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE to. Hubs would pig out everything I made to the point I said, NO WAY.

Brownies……yummy. Cupcakes…..OH, now you have got my tummy growling. For real. I haven’t had a real sugar high in a L O N G time. I have been TOO good. I do LOVE mint chocolate chip ice cream and I do indulge in that.

I’m gaining just thinking these thoughts. Now, Julie, look what you have done to me. Now I will just have to go to the store to buy a cake mix, to make cupcakes. Butter icing. Whipped creme icing. Mouth drooling and dripping……

I have a Cannon EOS 50 D which I LOVE and still do not know all the ins and outs about. I am learning to become really creative with this camera! Have you ever had a Cannon and if so, how does it compare to yours? Just curious…….

    Love,
    Amy

I’m from Italy.. I have to bake my own cupcakes if I want to have them, but I think they’re as good as those you mentioned😦

I don’t know.. I usually try to make always a different recipe. The one I tried last time I baked cupcakes was with matcha tea and I really loved it, they’re one of my favourite. What about you?
